New Moon: The Twilight Sequel [PREVIEW]

The Twilight Saga continues as the most anticipated film of the year, New Moon, hits screens this month on 21st, worldwide (not sure if this is applicable here since they are only planning to release Twilight in theatres on the 20th of this month...Crazy, huh?). Following the vastly-appreciated Twilight, this sequel from Summit Entertainment will tell the continuing tale between vampire Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) and mortal Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart).

When Edward leaves the town of Forks to keep Bella protected from danger and so that she can live a normal life, Bella’s spirit begins to wither away. However, she later finds a form of comfort in reckless living, as she also develops an even-closer friendship with Jacob Black (Taylor Lautner). There are a very interesting series of events and revelations that come out in New Moon and you will need to pay attention while watching the movie.

For the New Moon Soundtrack, there are a bunch of different people on the album like The Killers, Thom Yorke (Radiohead), Death Cab for Cutie (Meet me on the Equinox is a nice track), Band of Skulls, Anya Marina, Bon Iver & St.Vincent among others apart from Muse who had a track (Supermassive Black Hole) previously on the Twilight Album. Hopefully, the music by the album’s composers should make up for the notable absence of Paramore (Decode, I caught myself) on the New Moon soundtrack.

New Moon has been massively publicized everywhere from promotional events to Bella and Edward Barbie dolls to the recent extended trailer at the VMA’s and we’ll just have to see if the film lives up to the hype and the book by Stephenie Meyer. The fans who have read the Twilight Series wouldn’t want to be disappointed with poor adaptation of the book in the film or gaping holes cut off from the book like they do with other book-adaptations (read: Harry Potter).

What to watch out for:

Dakota Fanning as Jane, the waifish-pixie vampire with an air of menace, She's never looked this menacing or intense before.

And, Taylor Lautner as Jacob Black (His character gains more ground in this movie and how)! Plus, an added fact is his gloriously toned body. It's a shame that he's barely 17 years old! :(

Other new cast members include those who play Jacob’s best friends, Quil and Embry, and others who play the members of the Volturi (including Fanning). In this movie, the Cullens aren't around as much except for Alice Cullen (Ashley Greene) and Edward Cullen.

I can't wait to watch this on the Big Screen! I'm sure that you can't wait, too. Just hope it hits here soon enough (I hope my wish is not in vain. Sigh).

When, I wonder ?

It would break me and yet I incessantly pursue it...the thought of it consumes me.
I still want to know to when it will happen and I strive to know why it has not happened yet.
Does that make me crazy, sick or just deluded?
I can think straight but inside, I feel thirsty....deprived and lonely.
I just want to be in love once. I’m not stupid to think it could last forever. But I just want a taste of it.
Just once and I will be cured. At least, for a while, right? I mean, it can’t be like Crystal Meth or Weed, right or anything that you could get addicted to? Or can you? Okay, yeah, you got me, I know love can be a bit of drug sometimes. But honestly, if things didn’t work out, you at least can move on, you don’t have to go to rehab as such. I think I’m contradicting myself here cuz some things are just metaphors that when you relate them to the whole process of love, it does make total sense. I shall cease to write more on this now.

Edward Cullen is the sweetest vampire ever! He’s sweet, simple yet traditionally very romantic and sensitive. He loves Music and he doesn’t sleep ever and he is just so adorable in the whole fact of dancing because it’s the most human thing and trying to make Bella dance with him or rather dance because he loves her so much. He’s got an intense sensitivity about him which is truly alluring. The fact that he falls for Bella makes it perfect…they are both perfect together. Their love is so innocent and pure.
The way that he kisses her for the first time when he asks for her to stay still and tells her that he’s wondered for so long what it would be like or feel like is just the most romantic thing to say to a girl ever. Oooh, I just wish there were someone like him. And their first kiss is innocent yet explosive and you can feel the love between them, it makes you feel like you wish you were loved like that, to be engulfed in a love so pure and deep. Fuck, I must sound like a retard (Only because now love has been reduced to just pure and plain sex to an extent, and I am not against sex or anything as it is strictly one’s personal choice and opinion but it would be nice to know that you can still hope for something real, true in this world of teeming sex-addicts and love-farcers). Now you understand how cool it is to write where you know no one really is going to trespass or even find out, for that matter. It gives us, writers, sole pleasure and a heightened sense of secrecy. Especially when you dawdle on something that you are sure is not going anywhere credible or rather, intelligible.
